LSPEC 5030 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer
Product Introduction
The LSPEC 5030 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer is a sophisticated instrument comprising a light source, a Michelson interferometer, a sample cell, a detector, and a computer. The light emitted by the light source is converted into interference light through the interferometer, which contains information about all wavelengths of light emitted by the light source. When this interference light passes through the sample, certain wavelengths of light are absorbed by the sample, resulting in interference light that contains sample information. The computer samples the interference pattern of the sample, and after performing a fast Fourier transform, it generates an infrared spectrum of absorbance or transmittance as a function of frequency or wavelength.
This instrument is primarily used in various industries, including:
Pharmaceuticals
Chemicals
Polymer materials research
Petrochemicals
Mineralogy
Materials production
Biomedicine
Semiconductor materials
Forensic investigation and identification
Gas analysis
Atmospheric environmental monitoring
